In June 2020 a data incident involving the World of Tanks community surfaced when information from an online forum was collected via parsing. The dataset includes approximately 230000 records. The essence of the incident involves the extraction of public and semi-public user data from the forum environment. The scale is limited to forum participants rather than the entire game player base. This incident occurred through web scraping techniques rather than a direct server breach of the game infrastructure.
