In June 2017 the adult industry social network XBIZ experienced a data breach affecting approximately 28 thousand registered users. The incident involved the exposure of sensitive account information from their community platform which was running vBulletin software. The compromised data included personal identifiers and security credentials. Analysis indicates the breach occurred due to vulnerabilities in the forum software allowing unauthorized access to the underlying database. This leak is particularly sensitive due to the professional and personal nature of the adult industry network participants.
