XPGameSaves

In early 2016 the gaming community website XPGameSaves suffered a significant data breach affecting nearly nine hundred thousand users. The incident involved the unauthorized access and extraction of the forum database. Exposed information included usernames and email addresses along with IP addresses. While passwords were originally stored as salted MD5 hashes a version containing decrypted plain text passwords later circulated within the security community and on various hacking forums.
