In July 2013 the gaming network and YouTube collective YogsCast experienced a significant data breach affecting its community forum. The incident involved an unauthorized intrusion into the vBulletin database where attackers gained access to sensitive member information. The breach was primarily attributed to vulnerabilities in the forum software version used at the time. Exposed data included personal identifiers and salted MD5 password hashes. This incident highlighted security weaknesses in legacy forum platforms managed by content creator groups.
