In 2023 the Medical Center Russian Railways Medicine located in Vladivostok suffered a significant cyberattack orchestrated by the UHG threat group. The hackers managed to infiltrate the systems of zdclinic.ru and exfiltrated a database containing sensitive information of approximately 50000 patients. The compromised data includes full names, passport details, medical insurance policy numbers, and SNILS. Additionally, contact information such as phone numbers and digital credentials like passwords and nicknames were exposed in the breach. This incident highlights ongoing vulnerabilities in regional healthcare infrastructure against targeted ransomware or extortion groups.
