In August 2021 the Amazon seller optimization tool ZonBase suffered a data breach affecting approximately 4800 users. The incident exposed sensitive customer information including full names and contact details. The breach occurred due to an unsecured database or misconfiguration that allowed unauthorized access to the internal subscriber list. This exposure provided insights into user subscription statuses and technical identifiers like IP addresses posing a risk of targeted phishing attacks against Amazon entrepreneurs.
